This page explains how the ATS Resume Checker currently handles resume and job-description information.

1. What you provide
When you use the checker, you may provide a PDF resume and, optionally, a job description. The resume may contain personal information such as your name, contact details, employment history, education, skills, and other information you chose to include.
2. Temporary resume processing
The uploaded PDF is saved temporarily on the server so the PDF parser can extract its text. The temporary PDF is deleted after processing, including when processing fails.
The extracted resume text is temporarily held in the server-side session while the analysis is generated. After the results are generated, the raw resume text and the submitted job description are removed from that session. The result session is also subject to a temporary expiry period. To help keep the AI-powered checker free and prevent automated abuse, a small usage-limit cookie is used and a non-reversible fingerprint is used for rate limiting. We do not store your raw IP address for this usage limit.
We do not use the ATS checker to build a permanent resume database.
Free usage is currently limited to 5 AI-powered analyses per 24 hours per browser. A broader network-level limit may also apply to protect the service from automated abuse and excessive API usage.
3. AI processing
When AI analysis is available, the extracted resume text and, when supplied, the job description are sent to OpenAI through its API to generate resume feedback and job-matching guidance.
The ATS checker does not send your original PDF file to the AI provider; the AI layer receives extracted text. Third-party processing is subject to the provider's own policies and terms.
4. What we do not do
For this ATS checker, we do not ask you to create an account before using the tool, and we do not intentionally add submitted resume content to advertising copy or public pages.
We also instruct the AI system not to invent resume facts, achievements, skills, or metrics.
5. Feedback you submit
The ATS checker includes an optional feedback form. If you submit feedback, we store the message type, your feedback, and an optional email address so we can review issues and improve the service. Please do not include your resume or other sensitive information in the feedback form.
6. Analytics and advertising
Resumaly may use Google Analytics, Google AdSense, and Google's consent/advertising services on pages where those services are enabled. These services may use cookies or similar technologies according to their respective policies and the choices available through our consent controls.
7. Security measures
The checker uses HTTPS in production, protected session cookies, server-side upload validation, temporary randomized filenames, restricted upload directories, and server-side size limits. These measures reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
8. Your choices and questions
Because the checker is designed to process resumes temporarily without requiring an account, there may be no permanent profile for us to retrieve. For questions about the handling of a submission, contact Resumaly through the site's contact page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the checker, its providers, or its data-handling practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
